Strategic purpose of the position:
From 0-1, help to build up the Brazil supply chain system and structure to meet
the business strategy plan and to help accelerate the Brazil market business.
The Warehouse Director position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to
balance strategy and execution. This employee will lead a dynamic team of Managers
and Supervisors and to achieve operational excellence through coaching and
mentoring, driving employee engagement within the Distribution Center. This
employee is responsible for achieving standards of service, accuracy, and
productivity with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, relationship
building, along with communication and strategic thinking.
Job responsibilities:
Direct warehouse business planning, process implementation and improvement, and
talent management.
Oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility and maintain high
standards of operational efficiency and productivity.
Ensure all employees adhere to all OSHA and the companys safety and compliance
standards; provide a safe and hazard-free environment for all employees.
Comply to all warehousing, shipping, and handling legislation requirements.
Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff effectively, consulting with human
resources as appropriate.
Ensure quality management system procedures are implemented throughout functional
groups.
Collaborate and communicate with our oversea teams (In China) and must be
accessible after hours.
Occasional travel is required (both domestic and international).
Personal qualifications / competencies:
Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration
or a related field.
Possess 10+ years of experience managing operations for a 500,000 sq. ft.
fulfillment center.
Proven work experience of managing a warehouse team of 300+ employees and in a
leadership role with oversight of multiple managers and supervisors.
Strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skill.
Fluent in both English and Chinese (written & verbal) preferred.
Have thorough understanding of warehouse process, design, and regulatory and
compliance issues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management and database systems.
Educational / minimum requirements:
Bachelor and above
