Job Title: Senior Regional Accountant Reporting To: Finance Manager Location: Onshore, Rio Role Summary Responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to Legal Entities. Apply the principles of accounting in order to prepare and analyze financial information for Legal Entity. Ensure compliance with the companys policies and procedures and related internal controls. QHSE Responsible for/ensure: To make sure that you and your team work safe every day, every hour and every minute, no exception. Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct. Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements. Compliance with Seadrill training, certification and competence requirements. Compliance with applicable laws. Job Specific Assist in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual finance statements and reports Ensure balance sheet review is timely performed and associated actions are duly executed Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations Work to improve the speed and efficiency of the monthly closing process. Assist/Lead efforts with external and internal auditors during financial, tax, and operational audits. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce manual effort Work with internal tax department for preparation and filing of all tax returns and other required reports Create and maintain a documented system of accounting processes and policies Assist in implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems Collaborate with other departments to support overall department goals and objectives. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Advanced/Fluent English Experience Minimum 3 years of financial experience. Prefer experience in drilling related environment Skills Excellent Verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer skills with an advance knowledge of Excel, accounting and systems and financial concepts (Oracle experience a plus) Seadrill - Own the Opportunity
