Kokku is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Gameplay Engineer, you will work closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to implement gameplay features that enhance the overall player experience. As a Senior Gameplay Engineer you will: Design and implement gameplay systems for our projects, collaborating closely with other programmers and the production team. Serve as an individual contributor in gameplay development, identifying and mitigating potential risks during the development process. Solve engineering problems using sound software engineering principles, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques. Champion engineering excellence at Kokku and with our clients' development efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Extensive professional experience in game development with a strong engineering background. Shipped two or more games and experience with multiplatform development. Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++ or C#. Experience developing gameplay systems for previous projects and familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5), Unity, and other proprietary engines. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and technical insight. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations. High emotional intelligence and problem-solving mindset. Solid debugging and optimization skills. Enjoy solving challenging technical problems with effective solutions. Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work within deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability to changing needs and requirements. Would be nice if you had Experience with consoles like PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Series X.
