What You Will Do The NA Sales Applications Platform is composed by different applications, some of them shared by US and Canada, like pricing and display management, and some of them specific by country, like Trade Promotion Management (TPM). Currently, TPM is a built[1]in house application for US and an off the shelf product for Canada. NA region future technology strategy involve replacing US and Canada TPM solutions by a regional single off the shelf product (shorter term) and define next generation solutions for the rest of the applications like pricing and display management (longer term). Job Description SummaryThe Platform Lead Engineer role will be responsible for supporting and scaling the current applications in the NA Sales Applications Platform and, once the technology strategy described in Context is executed, responsibilities will evolve. When new TPM solution is implemented (shorter term strategy), this role will become the technical point of contact with special focus on system integrations and interfaces from/to TPM together with new solution configurations definition and execution. Furthermore, participation in design and definition for next generation solutions (longer term strategy) is part of the role scope.This role requires a mix of technical knowledge and team leadership skills to drive the execution of the platform. This role will focus on providing hands-on expertise and leadership in maintaining the platform, which hosts Trade Promotion Management, Quota, Display Management, Pricing capabilities / applications. Technical acumen in various technologies such as .NET, .NET Core, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, C#, VB.NET and HTML, would be critical to successfully support the platform. Additionally, knowledge and experience on Event Driven Architecture, system integrations and middleware systems are key for future role expansion. The Platform Lead Engineer will report to the IT Manager and will liaise with multiple business partners and engineering teams to provide the technology solutions needed to deliver and sustain business processes and requirements. Strong communication skills, creativity, hands-on experience developing web applications and API REST applications, application architecture, application integration, knowledge of Trade Promotion Management processes and agile methodologies are a must.Primary Responsibilities" Take ownership of the engineer team and contribute to all stages of the product life cycle end to end" Work with multiple business partners and engineer teams globally located to identify pain points and enhance the service" A critical point of contact for IT-to-IT delivery and support team, connecting various IT teams to achieve objectives (local, regional and global)" Manage the delivery team's capacity and resource allocations based on priorities and task complexity" Understands core internal applications to efficiently guide workstreams " Partnership with business to set goals, help in requirements definition and propose innovative solutions to problems" Continuously train the team and share knowledge " Be the technical and functional referent for the engineering team" Present to various levels of management both in IT and business partner functions" Preparing and facilitating training sessions and/or demos of new capabilities and technologies" Be proactive in solving complex technical problems and recommend alternate solutions and design approaches to platform requirements, making decisions between competing solutions" Build and support applications keeping up to date on emerging trends" Enhance existing tools and processes to facilitate the day to day working process" Ability to guide and take the ownership on application issues resolution following established SLAs" Ongoing learning of relevant market technologies and seeks opportunities to integrate with business needs i.e., Conferences, Knowledge groups, communities of practice" Responsible for the overall delivery timeline of projects following the required quality standards" Product backlog managementQualificationsWhat We Are Looking ForQualifications:" Bachelor's degree and above in major of IT discipline related or equivalent work experience" 10 years of related experience supporting and evolving applications" Hands-On experience with the following technologies: .NET, .NET Core, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, C#, VB.NET, HTML. ReactJS is also valuable" Experience working in both co-located and virtual teams, as well as in IT build and run environments" Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams onsite and offshore: Managing team priorities, balancing resources between operational support and enhancements, and ongoing prioritization of evolving business needs" 3+ years of experience working with TPM solutions is desirable" Agile frameworks knowledge (Scrum)" Systems architecture design and definition knowledge" API REST, event driven architecture, system integrations and SaaS knowledge" Strong planning and communication skills to work closely with and provide " Advanced English.
