JOB DESCRIPTION BRP is seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Lead to play an active role in leading and coordinating data management activities in our SAP S4 International project initiative. The position will focus on project activities and processes to support the data stream specifically in leading the deployment of the data standards, data governance and management processes related Material Master, Customers, Vendors/Suppliers, Planning, Transactional data and Quality activities. This position is responsible to support and enable the Data Stewards in standardizing the Master data design within MDM scope based on input from the business sectors (Business Process Lead and data stewards) in this project.YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Duties and responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:
Lead the MDM team and coordinate a variety of data stream activities : SAP S/4 Master Data Design, Configuration and Management:
Work in collaboration with the Data Stewards to ensure data standards, business rules, work flows and supporting transactions are aligned with the MDM Standard Template. Provide the technical expertise and guideline on master data configuration, data maintenance processes, and its complete end to end process. This includes the interfaces, transport/release management, master data maintenance tool, etc. Holistic focus on Master Data, including master data management (processes, reports, quality metrics and workflows), and interfaces. This includes:
Work in collaboration with the Data Stewards to ensure documentation, development, testing and delivery follow MDM ERP program delivery methodology Ability to understand the business rules and enforce the application of defined business rules, data standards, data policies and data management processes Optimize the usage of the system and the business process already in flight Audit the proper tools of the data management program (includes:
standards, policies, management & governance process) Support Access Role Management review Participate in data governance and management tasks within the project activities specifically to ensure follow through the approval workflows and processes to ensure the migrated data objects comply to BRP quality standards. Document and contribute/lead the implementation of required change through the process (interface to IT support, impact analysis, data changes, testing etc.). Ensure changes to business processes are coordinated with the Data Stewards, other process owners and backward integrated to legacy systems. Proactively monitor data accuracy and facilitate required data corrective actions with business owners. This includes leading the establishment of the monitoring framework on critical data elements, including the tool and its enforcement. Serve as the subject matter expert and central "go-to" person to train business users in master data creation/maintenance. Collaborate and support the Data Stewards on the MDM activities deployment on Testing and Training:
Ensure functional area testing preparedness and execution. Ensure string, unit and validation test scripts for all business process areas in scope, and oversee unit, string and validation testing. Ensure support to Data SME network and training materials development. Ensure required work instructions are developed and maintained by both master data and each process area. Assists teams with problem resolution, issue management, etc. Data Mapping and Transformation on the To-Be environment Participate in identification and design of functional data mapping and transformation activities and documentation based on the business process efforts and SAP S/4 HANA data structures Project management & implementation readiness:
Own the tactical planning for the master data deliverables. Drive the timely deliverables of master data team design deliverables. YOULL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems or related field.5+ years of
experience in the field of data management for an organization with complete and
accurate master data, master data processes and metrics, and the implementation of
complex technology systems, including 3+ years working on large-scale Data
Conversion projects.4+ years of related work experience as an analyst responsible
for an organization with complete and accurate master data, master data processes
and master data metrics.Master Data Management experience in the context of SAP
programs implementation is required.Experience working within a complex
organizational environment is required.Knowledge of most of the key concepts
around master data management, data standards and organizations is
required.Expertise in business processes within the Supply Chain is
preferred.Strong SAP technical knowledge and understanding of Master data
elements, processes, and organizational support models is preferred.Understanding
of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other
functions, preferred.Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint).Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills required.Ability to
work in a fast-paced changing environment and in a cross functional
environment.Strong ability to work in undiscovered, unstructured territories,
gather business requirements and to formalize processes that are currently not
formalized.Ability to work with various stakeholders to assess potential
risks.Ability to work independently and proactively.Must be detail oriented and
highly organized.Ability to work in teams, influence others and manage
conflict.Ability to work based upon specific timelines and dependencies. Assets
Knowledge of best practices and latest trends in data managementKnowledge of SAP
modules (SCM, GTS, Ariba, MDG, etc.) considered as an assetKnowledge of data
