Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Who will you be working with?Wabtec is seeking a Technical Project Owner to support the strategy and development of our localization applications in Brazil and Mexico, reporting to the IT Applications Business Units Solutions for Latin America. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating on the vision, roadmap, and execution of these critical business applications, while also contributing hands-on technical work.How will you make a difference? The Technical Product Owner is the person that will be focus on the technical side of local applications products and keep those apps in a good condition aligned to the tax compliance country regulations, assuring the development and clear roadmaps for all critical applications that represent an investment from the business of +500K USD, additionally in charge to assure the taxes compliance for all applications that need to be aligned with local laws and be prepared to interact with global initiatives like COA, Finance TAX Regulations and others coming during the next years.What do we want to know about you? RequiredBachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related STEM fieldExperience in full-stack web application developmentExperience in Node.js, front-end framework (Angular preferred), and cloud-based application hosting (AWS preferred)Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering business-critical applications.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDatabases Management and Transactions with SQL  IntermediateAdvanced English required. Desire CharacteristicsAbility to analyze a companys big-picture data needs.Cloud Server Support (AWS) knowledge  IntermediateMaintaining and updating technical documents and proceduresKnowledge of ERP / MRP systemsEffective team player and facilitatorStrategic and Clear Thinking to translate discrete and complex ideas to business-driven results.Detail orientation with a strong drive to enforce common standards.Proven ability to work in a matrix environment.Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal values.MS Office - AdvancedPower Automate  IntermediateWhat will your typical day look like? Strategic supportDevelop, execute, and maintain key metrics to support business operations.Assure business continuity based on good product and applications management and DRS plans.Technical DeliveryHands-on development of new features and functionality using Node.JS, Angular, and other modern web technologiesEnsure applications are hosted on AWS with robust CI/CD release capabilities.Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and maintain application health.Mentor and guide the technical team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.Use Power Automate to streamline workflows and approval processes.Create adhoc reports from Data warehouses to support Mexico and Brazil sites.Deploy interface connections between applications/products and global tools as required.Design and keep the DRS plan for local applications.Coordinate with third party vendors efforts for maintenance plans on local critical applications.Administrative and documentation activitiesAble to work in Process Improvement to support business operations.Able to Map and understand users process and requirements needed to create user stories. #LI-AC1 Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the worlds toughest challenges.
