It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!Lumentum is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to be a part of the Global Data Center and Platform Services team based in Campinas, Brazil. This person will be responsible and participate in provisioning, configuring, installing, configuring, and supporting global Lumentum servers, storage, and Cloud services. The position will also participate on an on-call rotation as part of the IT global support model to meet customer expectations and SLAs.Responsibilities:Monitor systems to verify integrity and availability of hardware, service resources, system and key processes;Evaluate and monitor system performance to identify and resolve impending performance issues;Architect and project manage new infrastructure projects, changes and upgrades as part of larger IT projects;Identify, repair and recover from hardware/software/system failures;Coordinate and communicate with leadership on proposed or implemented resolutions and changes;Provide Helpdesk related supported to other IT organizations and Lumentum Users;Design, recommend and advocate new initiatives with application and operations teams to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions;Identify opportunities for further improvements in cost and efficiency;Collaborate with IT and business teams on projects.Technical Skills:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, with solid experience of professional IT Experience;Extensive Linux administration experience (RedHat, Ubuntu);Strong knowledge and experience with Hypervisor technologies (VMware, KVM) and related server/storage hardware;Strong Microsoft administration experience (Windows Server, Active Directory);Strong knowledge and experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS and GCP;Strong experience in job automation and scripting (Powershell, Perl, bash, Python);Experience with NAS/SAN infrastructure (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI);Experience with DHCP/DNS support, protocols and infrastructure;Working knowledge supporting EDA applications like Cadence, Mentor, and Calibre;Working knowledge of DevOps applications and practicesWorking knowledge of web server technologies (Apache, IIS);Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP/SSH services;Working knowledge backup and restore technologies and practicesFull professional English is mandatory.
