RESPONSIBILITIES Cost Management and Negotiations: Develop strategies for optimizing freight, customs duties, taxes, and tariff costs. Negotiate with carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers to ensure the best contractual conditions. Monitor currency fluctuations and their impact on import/export costs, proposing mitigating actions. Supply Chain Management Coordinate the entire import/export logistics flow, from the order placement to the final delivery. Ensure that international suppliers meet delivery deadlines, quality standards, and documentation requirements. Collaborate with the purchasing team to optimize global supply and ensure contracts align with company demand. Order Management and Control Oversee the placement of international purchase and sales orders, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete, follow all E2E (End-to-end) process. Track the status of international orders, coordinating with suppliers and logistics service providers to resolve delivery or transport issues. Compliance and Regulations Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export control requirements. Prepare and review import/export documents (DI, DUE, BL, Certificates of Origin, etc.) to ensure regulatory compliance. Innovation and Process Digitalization Implement tools and technologies to automate international trade processes, such as freight management software, document automation, and cargo tracking solutions. Identify opportunities to digitize and innovate the workflow, using tools like blockchain, RFID, and collaborative supplier platforms. Performance Analysis and Reporting Develop management reports on costs, lead times, document accuracy, and logistical efficiency. Conduct performance analysis of international suppliers and identify improvement opportunities. Lead supplier MBR (Monthly Business Review) fix root cause issues and set a strategic action plan. Risk Management Identify and mitigate risks associated with international trade, such as currency fluctuations, customs delays, transportation issues, and regulatory changes. Coordinate cargo insurance and manage claims processes. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in international trade, focusing on logistics operations, supplier management, and compliance. Technical Knowledge: International regulations (WTO, AEO, INCOTERMS, etc.). Logistics management software (Control Tower, TMS, ERP). Experience with process automation and digitalization (use of APIs, tracking systems, etc.). Fluency in English and Spanish desirable. Knowledge in Project Management ERP, Excel, International trade systems and other digital tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
