About This Opportunity Reporting to the U.S. based Global Human Resources Team, the Human Resources Business Partner will work directly with all levels of U.S. and Brazilian leadership teams, including senior executives and business leaders. As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at InComm Payments, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. You will serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. To be successful, you will act as an employee champion and change agent while assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Communicating needs pro-actively within our HR department and business management, you will seek to develop integrated solutions. You will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives InComm. The position may include international human resource responsibilities. You will need to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Position is CLT and fully remote with occasional travel to Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, and the U.S. Responsibilities Above all else, the number one responsibility of our HRBP team is to build and maintain strong strategic relationships with leaders and employees that enable the business to perform their jobs. The following is a list of ways to help you achieve this goal: Develop a core understanding of the business and utilizes information to perform as a Business Partner to all areas of the organization. Conducts regular, recurring meetings with respective business units/leaders. Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Collaborates closely with Talent Acquisition for all new hire requests, and works with leadership and other teams on employee promotions and transfers. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Facilitate the termination process, including completing separation documentation, conducting exit interviews, and coordinating the return of company equipment. Participate in career development planning, discussing career paths with corporate and field line managers, and recommending suitable candidates for promotion. Participates in Corporate employee termination discussions. Coaches the manager in preparations for such discussions. Manage complex HR projects cross-functionally Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to mitigate risk Challenges the leadership team and work to overcome obstacles Lead employee engagement strategy for Brazil and implement initiatives designed to enhance engagement within assigned territory Responsible for managing employee relations activities within assigned region Qualifications Minimum of 5 years proven work experience as an HR business partner Minimum of 5 years strong generalist background; experience working in multiple business environments preferred 3+ years experience managing and resolving moderately complex issues and problems; Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff Completion of University degree in Human Resources or related discipline Knowledge of Brazilian employment laws and experience dealing with complex employee relations issues Experience working within a US based matrix organization Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter Ability to become a trusted partner and build collaborative relationships while handling confidential information Strong capability to independently manage investigations and resolve sensitive employee relations issues Highly detailed and accurate written and verbal communication skills including facilitation and presentation experience Problem solving, diagnostic and consulting skills; Ability to use practical common sense and translate data to make decisions and determine priorities Ability to influence and drive results through others at all levels in the organization Ability to drive organizational change while coaching managers through the process Demonstrated project management skills Ability to react with a sense of urgency Ability to manage significant workload with multiple concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with human resource automated processes Must be approachable, professional and develop strong professional relationships Both strategic and hands-on efforts required Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong Microsoft Office Skills Ability to travel within Brazil and occasional travel to North America Full Professional Language Proficiency with both English and Portuguese Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
