Location: SP Schoolhouse As Director of Engineering, you will lead a team of technical experts, comprising process engineers, discipline engineers, engineering managers, and commissioning experts to support all phases of capital projects as well as operational business improvements. Responsibilities Collaborate with Operations and the Technology & Innovation function to optimize existing processes and equipment, and to design new processes and equipment Develop and implement multi-year process improvement roadmaps and integrate contributions from multiple fields of engineering and science to identify improvement opportunities. Lead the design review committee to review and approve the most complex technical designs. Direct and manage the work of external engineering partners in delivering designs and projects. Support the professional and leadership development of the Engineering Team members. Provide safety leadership through setting the safety culture and expectations and spending time in the field with frontline employees and engineers. Build a strong team and an engaging work environment. Qualifications Degree in Science or Engineering and Advanced Degree in Science, Engineering, or Management 15 to 20 years prior experience in process design, process improvement, or engineering, including 10 or more years managing medium-sized to large project engineering designs or improvement programs of various complexity levels. International experience will be an asset.
