Data Engineer

This role is hybrid with flexibility to work virtually and in our São Paulo
office.

What the day will look like
This role is 100% backend development of the main DB of our Health Solutions
products. As a data engineer, you will be tasked with developing the ETL's of all
current and future health carriers, making sure to create an efficient structure
that goes from receiving data in the Lake all the way to displaying information to
our internal and external clients.
Development of ETLs from health carriers through Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
Usage of Python, PySpark, Databricks, AWS S3 Lake to develop the architecture.
Connect data to visualization tools via Databricks, PBI Gateways and APIs.
Document development via Azure DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Scrum Ceremonies and work in a Scrum framework.
How this opportunity is different
You will work as a member of a Scrum squad alongside our team of data engineers
and QA analysts. This team is responsible for the development and testing of the
current and improved data architecture in Health Solutions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
2+ years of programming in Python in projects related to data architecture.
Experience with Databricks.
Experience with PySpark.
Experience with working with data in general (SQL, Snowflake, PowerBi).
Automated CI/CD tools and processes (GitHub actions, GitOps, Azure DevOps).
Public cloud services, like AWS cloud services in specific.
Microservice architecture & REST API development.
Knowledge regarding proper programming documentation and testing.
Familiarity/Experience in working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
English language proficiency (Intermediary).
Spanish language proficiency (Nice to have)
