About You
Confident, proactive, hands-on, curious and creative personality with excellent
inter-personal, written, and verbal communication skills. Our Legal Coordinator is
a tax litigation lawyer with experience in other large companies, as a
well-organized and detail-oriented professional, working well to deadlines and
managing the routine of a legal department.

Our team handles everything from litigation, corporate security, intellectual
property, to mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and technical matters. They
cover a wide range of subjects, from company assets and our global business agenda
to data privacy and anti-corruption initiatives.
As a litigation lawyer in Diageo, youll defend the company by managing lawsuits
and procedures, focusing on tax cases, while also identifying opportunities to
collaborate and support the company in achieving its goals.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Litigation Manager, the Legal Coordinator is a proactive
legal lawyer specialized in Tax Law, managing disputes and law firms, defining
procedural strategies, reviewing claims and pleadings for all litigation areas,
supporting audits, providing legal opinions, and performing all routine activities
of a legal department. Advanced English is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of all legal proceedings and disputes, jointly with the Senior Legal
Manager, with a strong focus on tax cases.
Management of law firms.
Legal advice on tax, labor, consumer law, intellectual property, and civil issues.
Support in internal and external audits.
Support in attendance of strategic tax audits.
Prepare and/or review litigation reports.
Identify opportunities in litigation.
Participate in internal and external meetings.
Routine activities of a legal department.
Experience Required / Skills / Capabilities / Languages:
At least 10 years of experience as an in-house lawyer or in law firms.
Solid experience in tax litigation.
Experience in other litigation areas will be a plus.
Advanced English is mandatory. Spanish is desirable.
Law Degree.
Post-graduation in Tax Law (lato sensu).
Curious, flexible, business-oriented, agile, hands-on profile, proactive, and with
great communication skills.
