Job Summary:Controller Rapidly growing through acquisitions, our portfolio is seeking to add a Corporate Controller to our Finance team. This fundamental role will be responsible for managing critical financial and accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial reporting.The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.Job Description:Responsibilities Consolidate & review month end and quarter end close deliveries of the Portfolios Business Units, including actuals vs forecast, 5 years business plans, cash flow reporting and other ad hoc analysis.Review, prepare & co-ordinate quarter end Portfolio summaries covering multiple disciplines including Finance, HR, M&A etc.Act as primary liaison with Volaris Head Office, interpret and disseminate accounting and reporting updates to the Portfolio finance teamsPrepare acquisition related deliverables to ensure completed in accordance with Volaris/Constellation PoliciesReview current workflows and look for process efficiencies, including adoption of new systems and tools where reasonableCo-ordinate & participate in reviewing Internal Controls including oversight of the Volaris & CSI Internal auditsWork with tax teams to plan Transfer Pricing and other tax optimization strategiesManage the corporate cost center, including calculation of bonus & forecasting of corporate costs and recovery via management feesWork with Volaris to enforce adherence to corporate compliance, including contract sign-off rules, >$ 1M revenue recognition reporting.Other duties as neededRequired skills and qualificationsTen or more years of professional accounting experienceBachelors degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field. MBA is a plus.Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)Advanced Excel skills Microsoft Office (including, Excel Pivot tables, Look-up functions, Word and Power Point, are essentialStrong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysisWorking knowledge of national and international tax regulations and compliance reportingExperience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processesExemplary history of financial project managementExperience with Microsoft Great Plains is desirableExtensive experience and knowledge of Balance Sheet and P&L accounting is required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
