Siemens Brazil is seeking a talented Communications Software Engineer to join our team. As part of the Siemens Grid Software and Solutions business segment, you will contribute to the development of large-scale enterprise software solutions, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and Energy Market Management (EMM). Our focus is on providing secure communication protocols for transmitting data between substations and control centers. This role involves the complete life cycle development of these protocols, including design, development, in-house testing, field deployment, and testing it. Key Responsibilities: Develop control center communication protocols to securely transmit data between substations and control centers Collaborate with a team-oriented staff to design and implement communication protocols Conduct in-house software testing and participate in field deployment and testing of protocols at control centers Ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to communication protocols Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in communication protocols Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders Work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a collaborative work culture Requirements: 5+ years of experience with communication protocols Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, etc. Knowledge of TCP/IP and serial programming Familiarity with various communication protocols Strong organizational and written communication skills Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficient in written and spoken English (including communication terminology) combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail Benefits: Competitive salary package Opportunities for professional development and growth Remote work option Inclusion and diversity-focused work environment Contribution to the development of cutting-edge communication protocols in the energy industry If you are passionate about developing secure communication protocols and have a strong background in software engineering, we invite you to join our team at Siemens Infraestrutura e Indústria Ltda. in Curitiba  PR.
