JOB SUMMARY
The Commercial Lead role will report to the Brazil Country President. This role
should play a pivotal part in maximizing overall business results by managing
commercial discounts, wholesaler margins, stock levels and sales channels. This
senior position should foster cross-functional collaboration with other areas and
make decisions jointly. The Head of Commercial should also ensure full compliance
with Pfizer practices and policies and implement proper controls to safeguard
Pfizer.
The Commercial lead will have direct reports & departments supporting key Pfizer
Brazil operations. As a member of the Pfizer Brazil Leadership Team (LT) will
provide support to enhance organizational efficiency, goal clarity and alignment
of activities between key stakeholders and be the lead contact with Emerging
Market Team. He/she will ensure global / regional / local alignment and address
diverse business needs with flexibility and streamlined decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities in this role include:
Strategy and connection:
Able to discuss a need with the Country President and/or LT and independently
develop strategic options, leveraging a broad knowledge base about the business
and the external marketplace;
Establish systems and processes to share information and make well-informed
decisions across the business; ensure overall effective resource utilization;
Partners with the LT to develop the strategy for the future state operations from
a structural and functional point of view;
Develop and implement account management strategies to achieve revenue targets and
maximize market share;
Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within
strategic accounts, fostering long-term partnerships;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and supply,
to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial strategies;
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to
identify new business opportunities and drive innovation;
Monitor and analyze revenue performance metrics, providing regular insights to
improve commercial excellence;
Drive the development and execution of strategic account plans, ensuring customer
satisfaction and retention.
Financial Performance:
Work with the CP, TA Leads and LT to identify opportunities for improving growth
trajectory of Pfizer Brazil along with efficiencies & investment areas in managing
One Pfizer P&L.
Business Operations:
Work closely with his/her direct reports & cross-functional departments to deliver
on the commitments of Key Account, Strategic Health Partner, Strategic Account
Partner, Customer Engagement, Commercial Operations, MAPP operations;
Ensures the Goal Alignment & objectives of One Pfizer are well-defined across
Pfizer Brazil, executed and delivered on time, and ensures the team mission and
vision aligned and support the overall Pfizer Brazil strategies;
Manages critical initiatives and efforts, including those related to
Transformations and Regional Initiatives.
Leadership:
Identifies, proposes, obtains agreement to, and guides the implementation of key
projects which will address specific market needs with significant impact, and
ensure successful achievement of planned outcomes. Project scope may be specific
to Brazil and/or include Global/Regional projects;
Leads his/her direct reports and associated departments, in line with Pfizer
Values, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success;
Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the
commercial organization;
Ensure compliance with all legal and compliance policies and procedures to perform
commercial strategies and operations.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field;
MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
Previous Experience:
7-10+ years of working experience, proven track record of success in senior
commercial and account management roles within the pharmaceutical industry;
Commercial experience in functions such as marketing, sales, business development,
strategic planning, business intelligence and similar;
Demonstrated success managing project teams and cross-functional initiatives
across cross-cultural stakeholders;
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, including industry trends,
regulations, and key players;
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and
motivate a high-performing team;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence
and negotiate with senior-level stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively
across all organizational levels;
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results
and achieving business objectives;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing
priorities.
Language:
English and Portuguese required.
