YOUR ROLE Executes hazard communication for all products in applicable business units and region, including preparation of Safety Data Sheets and labels and timely communication of potential impact on finished products. Monitors, communicates and executes implementation of regulation changes Registers new chemical substances, monitors global chemical inventory status, substance volume tracking, and associated testing requirements Participates in meetings and provides necessary support to applicable business units. Leads regional and global product safety and regulatory affairs projects to streamline processes. Provides training to customer support functions in order to facilitate timely responses to basic customer inquiries at the local level Ensures continuing familiarity with all of the latest applicable regulations and toxicological information. Maintains a thorough knowledge of products, chemistries, and processes. Prepare submissions for product registrations/notifications, license/permit applications, and regulatory responses in accordance with local and regional requirements YOUR SKILLS Bachelors degree in Occupational / Environmental Health, Chemistry, Biology, or other relevant scientific discipline required. Minimum of one to three years of experience in the chemical industry Familiarity with Latin America South industrial and consumer federal and state regulations impacting chemical products (hazard communication standards, control of toxic substances, consumer product safety, etc) required. Strong written, presentation preparation, organization, and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and within a variety of cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, emphasis on Excel skills Familiarity with SAP EHS is desired.
